Lere Olayinka, the Media Aide to the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has revealed that his boss (Fayose) rejected President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration’s

offer. Lere Olayinka, made this known in a statement, titled: ‘EFCC, Fayose and the hypocrisy of Buhari’s anti-corruption fight’, which was made available to Newsmen, on Saturday.The statement reads:The same thing they just did to Danjuma Goje’s EFCC case, they would have done to Fayose’s own, if he had agreed to their proposal before the Ekiti Governorship election. They told Fayose to accept what they called: “The Ondo State (Mimiko) Option”, but he refused.Because Fayose rejected their proposal, they invaded Ekiti with over 50,000 armed security men, and have been using EFCC to harass him since he left Office.However, Fayose beat them to their plot to humiliate him, on Oct 16, 2018, by surrendering himself to the EFCC.Now, after calling 13 out of the 15 witnesses listed in their case against Fayose, EFCC has gotten the case transferred to another Judge, so as to start it afresh.They said Justice Mojisola Olatoregun was biased against EFCC, but it was the same Judge that jailed ex-NIMASA boss, recently.If they tell you their Buhari is fighting corruption, ask them, “Is it by using it as bargaining power?”
